SHIPPING POLICY

1. SHIPPING ORIGIN

All orders are packed and shipped from: Moscow, Russia

2. PROCESSING TIME

After you complete payment, we need time to pack your order:

- Standard processing: 1-3 business days
- Business days: Monday through Friday, excluding Russian public holidays
- Weekends and holidays: no processing or shipping

You will receive a confirmation email when your order ships, containing your tracking number.

3. SHIPPING CARRIERS

We select the best carrier for your destination:

- DHL Express – fastest, recommended for urgent orders, full tracking
- EMS – reliable, good balance of speed and cost
- Russian Post – economy option, slower but lower cost
- Other international transport companies as appropriate

We choose the carrier at our discretion based on package weight, destination, and your selected shipping speed at checkout.

4. DELIVERY TIME ESTIMATES

Delivery times are estimates from the shipment date, NOT from the order date.

These are estimates. Actual delivery may vary due to:
- Customs processing (can take days or weeks)
- Weather delays
- Carrier backlogs
- Incorrect or incomplete address provided by you

We do not guarantee delivery by a specific date.

5. TRACKING

Every order includes a tracking number. You will receive it via email when your order ships.

Tracking availability:
- DHL and EMS: full tracking from pickup to delivery
- Russian Post: tracking within Russia, may be limited in some destination countries

If your tracking number does not show updates for 5-7 business days, contact us at support@somanails.com.

6. CUSTOMS, DUTIES, AND TAXES – PLEASE READ

IMPORTANT: We ship Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU).

This means:
- You are the importer of record
- You are responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees
- These fees are NOT included in the price you paid on somanails.com
- We have no control over these fees and cannot predict them

Before ordering, contact your local customs office for an estimate of:
- Import duty rate for manicure tools (HS code typically 8214.20 or similar)
- VAT or sales tax
- Any handling fees charged by the carrier for customs clearance

If you refuse to pay customs fees:
- The package may be returned to us, seized, or destroyed by customs
- You will not receive a refund for the product or shipping

By placing an order, you accept full responsibility for all customs-related charges.

7. SHIPPING COSTS

Shipping costs are paid by the customer and are NOT included in the product price.

The shipping cost is NOT calculated automatically at checkout. Instead, it is calculated individually by our manager based on:
- Delivery address (country, city, postal code)
- Package weight and dimensions
- Selected carrier and shipping speed

Process for shipping cost payment:
1. After you place your order, our manager will contact you within 1 business day
2. We will calculate the exact shipping cost for your destination and chosen carrier
3. We will send you a separate payment link for the shipping fee
4. Once the shipping fee is paid, we will process and ship your order

Your order will not be shipped until the shipping fee is paid separately.

We do not offer free shipping for international orders at this time.

8. UNDELIVERABLE PACKAGES

A package may be returned to us if:
- The address provided is incorrect or incomplete
- You were not available to accept delivery and did not pick up from the post office
- You refused to pay customs duties

If a package is returned to us:
- We will notify you by email
- You may choose to:
a) Pay for re-shipping (original shipping cost)
b) Receive a refund for the product price ONLY (original shipping not refunded)
- Return shipping fees charged by the carrier will be deducted from your refund

9. LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES

If your tracking shows "delivered" but you did not receive the package:
1. Check with neighbors, building management, or your local post office
2. Wait 2-3 more days – carriers sometimes mark delivered early
3. Contact us within 7 days of "delivered" status

We will:
- Open an investigation with the carrier
- If the carrier confirms loss, we will send a replacement or issue a refund

We are not responsible for packages stolen after delivery confirmation.

10. DAMAGED PACKAGES

If your package arrives visibly damaged:
- Take photos before opening
- Open carefully and video the process if possible
- If products are damaged, contact us within 7 days with photos and video

We will file a claim with the carrier and send you a replacement or refund.

11. ADDRESS CHANGES

If you need to change your shipping address after placing an order:
- Contact us immediately at support@somanails.com
- If the order has not yet shipped, we may be able to update it
- If the order has already shipped, we cannot change the address

We are not responsible for orders shipped to the address you provided.

12. BUSINESS DAYS AND HOLIDAYS

Business days: Monday through Friday, excluding:
- Russian national holidays (New Year, Christmas, Defender of the Fatherland Day, International Women's Day, Spring and Labor Day, Victory Day, Russia Day, Unity Day)
- Other days when Russian post/carriers are closed

Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing on the next business day.
